Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT - Cardiology - VCA Canada Vancouver Animal Emergency & Referral Centre

We are launching our first ever Cardiology service at VCA Canada Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre and are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to help launch this exciting and much needed new referral service. The Registered Veterinary Technologists in our hospital have an interesting and varied workload managing a wide variety of cases offering a stimulating, and challenging experience. This means that besides using all of your basic technical skills you will apply skills not commonly used in general practice. This includes: in house blood-typing and cross matching, administering blood transfusions, maintaining a variety of CRIs via different modalities and specialized training in with our advanced imaging equipment (MRI, CT, and Flouroscopy.) Although previous experience in an emergency or in a specialty setting is an asset, it is not a requirement. Recent RVT Grads that are motivated and confident in their abilities and possess above average technical experiences are encouraged to apply.
